Unuigboje drums support for Shaibu

A politician and technocrat from Owan West Local Government of Edo State,  Barr. Frank Dix Unuigboje has urged the  Edo North indigenes to cast aside whatever differences that may exist among them and come together as one indivisible entity to support their son, Hon Shuaibu and his principal, Gov. Godwin Obaseki, as they grapple with the challenges of bettering the life/ welfare of the people of the Edo State. 

BARR. Unuigboje, who is still playing a vital role in the meteoric popularity of the PDP in Owan West and by extension, Edo North, is one of the party's leading lights and great mobiliser. 

He made this clarion call in a chat with journalists  in Benin city, the Edo State capital.

 Barr. Unuigboje singled out Hon. Shaibu for praises on account of his untainted loyalty to his principal, stating they hold the key to unlock the greatness and potentialities of Edo State.

According to Barr. Unuigboje ,who was a former Edo State Coordinator, former Regional Director, South-South and presently in charge of South-East of the National Identity  Management  Commission (NIMC), hailed the mutual trust that exists between the governor and his deputy, adding  it is novel,  unparalleled and will take Edo State to greater heights.

He further said that the joint Obaseki/Shaibu ticket is a "blessing" to Edo State. Edo North deserves more and the only possible way to make it feasible is for Edo North people to rally round their son, Philip Shaibu so as to make Gov. Obaseki devote more attention, patronage and resources to the senatorial district. 

He said, "I sincerely appreciate the level of support Edo North PDP leaders, led by Chief Mike Oghiadomhe, have extended to the state government and, by extension, the state's deputy governor. 

" However, such a level of support is not sufficient except it is broadened to include opinion moulders, the traditional elites and the citizenry ". 

As a measure of positive impact a wider support base can have on the wheels of governance, Barr. Unuigboje stated that PDP in Owan West and the electorates have forged a united front in support of the Obaseki/Shuaibu administration as can be attested to in the last Edo state gubernatorial election.
