As an insider with more than a fair knowledge of the myriad of problems confronting the hospital, Dr. Imafidon is expected to use his vast competencies in the areas of medical management and research to assist the hospital to further improve her status amongst the hospital of similar nature.
In his first media chat since appointment, an optimistic Dr. Imafidon acknowledged that there were indeed huge obstacles on the path to recovery but was quick to note that the identified obstacles are surmountable with the right attitude and work ethics.
He said he intends to reinvigorate staff motivation so as to bring out the best in them as well as innovate with latest technology in the medical field, adding his primary concerns is to expand the frontiers of psychiatry research, training and management in the country.
Dr. Imafidon assured that his management style would not antagonise the hospital staff but would rather seek for more effective techniques to bring out the best in them while repositioning the hospital for better health service delivery.
