Edo State PDP does not need the courts in resolving her internal squabbles _ Oghiadomhe

By DADA AYOKHAI
A former two term Edo State deputy governor of Edo State, Chief Mike Oghiadomhe, has urged aggrieved members of the party in the state to avail themselves of the internal dispute resolving mechanisms rather than resorting to  litigations.

Chief Oghiadomhe, a former Chief of Staff, CoS, to former President Goodluck Jonathan, noted that there are various party organs in the state chapter of the party  capable of amicably resolving disputes and crisis within the party fold and, therefore, admonished aggrieved party members to utilise such avenues instead of resorting to litigations.

He made this passionate appeal in Jattu, Etsako West, while addressing PDP faithfuls at the Thanksgiving service and victory party ceremony organised by Edo State deputy governor.

Put in proper context, Chief Oghiadomhe's statement is coming on the heels of a suit filed by some PDP members who are against an alleged plot to dissolve the state party executive in order to create room for loyalists of Gov Obaseki to take control of the party structure.

According to Chief Oghiadomhe, who also feigned ignorance about the purported plot to dissolve the state's party Exco, the action by those who filed the law suit is obviously dictated by fear.

He said rather than seeking court adjudication in a purely internal party affair, of which the courts are not best suited for, the best solution was to have tabled their grievances before any of the various organs of the party, particularly the Elders Forum, which comprises both serving and former party leaders, for an amicable and equitable resolution.

He, therefore, appealed for a peaceful resolution of the dispute, adding Edo State PDP does not need the courts in resolving her internal squabbles.
