PDP gave us umbrella during the rainy season- Shaibu

Edo state deputy governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu has showered encomiums on the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state for providing the platform which enabled him and his principal to contest the last governorship election.
Comrade Shaibu said history would be kind to the PDP leaders for availing him and his principal the golden chance to use the party's umbrella platform to contest and win the Edo 2020 guber election, at a time they were pushed out and left in the lurch by their former political party, that is, the APC.
He was speaking at the thanksgiving and victory party ceremony of the party which took place at his country home in Jattu, Etsako West council area.
The thanksgiving service was held at St Philip Catholic Church, Jattu and was rounded up with a victory party reception at the Azama Primary School compound, Jattu.
Comrade Shaibu, in his key note address at the victory party reception, particularly singled out some notable Edo North leaders for commendation. The likes of Chiefs Dan Orbih, Mike Oghiadomhe, Hon Paschal Ugbomeh, Senator Yisa Braimoh and a host of others, were mentioned and hailed for their steadfastness and dedication to the cause.
The well attended political gathering attracted top big wigs across party divides, including traditional rulers, community leaders and others.
Among the top dignitaries who graced the ceremony included Sen Yisa Braimoh, Hon Paschal Ugbomeh, Hon Henry Duke Tenebe, Chief Mike Oghiadomhe, Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, along with other members.
