Action Alliance party repositioning ahead of elections _ Guobadia

The Chairman of the Action Alliance Party(AAP), Edo State, Engr. Israel Iyobosa Guobadia has appealed to the Edo people to support the party in her bid to reposition ahead of future elections in the state.
Engr. Guobadia made the statement during an interactive chat with the Journalists at the party Secretariat, Benin city,.
Engr Guobadia attributed the unimpressive performance of the party, AAP, at previous elections was due to poor leadership by the past administrators of party.
" Our vision is to evangelize our party programmes and believe in the masses. The Motto of the party is that the masses should lead. Action Alliance over the years hasn't been able to make meaningful impact as a result of bad leadership."
" The party has existed over 15 years in the State but no good record to show. Our new vision is to ensure the party is known in Edo State. We want people to come to the party, and occupied position that would affect the masses. To encourage the masses that want to build, grow and work for the people," he added.
As regards the strength of the party,Guobadia asserted that, the party is not among the major political parties in Edo state, but claimed that the party presence cut across the 18 local government areas in the state.
The AAP boss said," we are planning for the party congresses which is schedule for Saturday, 16th January, 2021, starting from the Ward and local government congresses which will be held at the party Secretariat. The state Congress , is slated for January 30th.
"We are preparing for the forthcoming local government elections. We were told that the caretaker committee will expire February, 2020. It is expedient that they participate in the Congress to ensure continuity, progress and good work in the party,"
,In a contribution, the Public Relations of the party, comrade Jacob said, their aims is to reposition the party to enable it compete with other political parties in the forthcoming local government elections in the state.
