APC Registration: Oshiomole's men dominate committee

Loyalists of former All Progressives Congress national chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, dominate the registration and validation committees set up by the national secretariat of the party to conduct the registration of new members and revalidate those of old members. 

Names of the loyalists of the former APC national chairman across Edo North featured prominently in the list just released by the APC national secretariat. 

Most of the Oshiomole loyalists emerged either as chairman or secretary of the registration and validation committees. 

Yet, a large percentage of them also emerged as members of the committees. 

Hon Abass Braimoh,a former House of Representatives member for Etsako federal constituency, is chairman of the registration and validation committee in Imo State. He also served as Oshiomole's Chief of Staff, CoS, when the latter was national chairman. 

Other Oshiomole's loyalists such as Barr OlaBisi Idaomi and Barrister Ilavbare Rahmatulai serves as secretary of the committee in both Anambra and Kwara respectively. 

Similarly, the duo of Hon Anselm Agbabi a former member of Edo state house of  Assembly, Chairman of Akoko Edo  and Amed Musa serve as members of the committee in Ogun and Bornu. 

A careful look at the list shows a deliberate attempt to favour Edo North district which happens to be the political backyard of the comrade governor. 

Whilst Akoko Edo and Etsako was allotted  two slots each, Owan got one slot.

Auchi Microfinance Bank groans under high customers debt profiles

By DADA AYOKHAI  The management of Auchi Microfinance Bank (AMFB), yesterday, decried the high indebtedness of customers to the bank just as it urges customers to pay up in order to remain in business. Chairman of the financial institution, Hassan Momodu, expressed his resentment at its 22nd and 23rd joint annual general meetings of the bank in Auchi, Edo  According to him "We are using this medium to appeal passionately to our shareholders and the general public that are indebted to us to pay up to reduce our yearly provisioning and improve our profitability”,  Momodu also said that the increase in the fund in the period under review represented a 29 percent improvement on the fund. By DADA AYOKHAI The Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic party, PDP, will soon engage in another political battle over the choice of candidate to fill the position of the National Deputy Youth Leader  microzone to the state by the party to be formalized at the National convention slated for October 30 and 31st.
