Buhari renews saliu Ahmed appointment

Based on his stellar performances and visionary leadership as the helmsman of Benin - Owena River Basin Authority, Engr Saliu Ahmed, has been duly rewarded with tenure elongation by President Muhammad Buhari.
He was among the seven heads of river basin authorities in the country whose tenure for another period of four years was renewed by the president.
News of the tenure renewal was contained in a press statement issued in Abuja on Thursday by Mrs Kenechukwu Offie; Director, Press and Public Relations, in the Ministry of Water Resources.
The appointment takes immediate effect from January 5, 2021.
Engr Saliu Ahmed, an Auchi, Etsako West politician, has been saddling the ship of the authority in the past four years.
Pundits had predicted the possibility of the president renewing his appointment based on the new lease of life and direction the University of Benin trained engineer has brought to bear in the affairs of the Benin - Owena River Basin Authority.
However, in between discharging his presidential mandate and relating with the local populace, Engr Ahmed, a registered COREN member, still managed to find sufficient time to engage in his first hobby - politics.
For instance, Engr Ahmed is a card carrying member of the APC in Edo State. That apart, he was the Edo North arrowhead for Pastor Osagie Iyamu before the primaries and was even tipped to become his running mate in the September 19, 2020 governorship election.
