Edo North Leaders Forum pass votes of confidence on Obaseki

The recently inaugurated Edo North PDP Elders Council now Christened Edo North  Leaders forum, ENLF, held a maiden  expanded  meeting with a provision of a vote of confidence on the administration of Governor Godwin Obaseki. 

The Expanded meeting  of the forum which  was held at the country home of its chairman, Chief Mike Oghiadomhe, in fugar, Etsako central local government had  over 100 members across the six LGAs in attendance.  

Among the top Edo North PDP leaders at the meeting were Sen Yisa Braimoh, Hon Henry Duke Tenebe, Hon Paschal Ugbomeh, Hon Johnson Abolagba, Chief Tom Uloko, Mrs Evelyn Igbafe, Hon Shegun Saiki , Chief Okomayin , HAJIA Jumai Mohammed  , Hon Andrew Momodu and a host of others. 

PDP leaders from the six local government areas which constitute the senatorial district were adequately represented. 

In his opening remarks the chairman of the forum,  Chief Oghiadomhe, a former Edo state deputy governor and chief of staff to former president Good luck Jonathan   said the  forum  is not in rivalry with any individual or party organs, adding that  forum  would restrict itself to purely advisory roles. 

He further   added the forum  will in no distance time will be replicated in the various wards and local government areas in Edo North district. 

The august meeting similarly received a  report  from
Senator Yisa Braimoh , Chairman of the  forum sub-committee on Harmonisation of party structures .

some of the other major resolutions passed at the landmark meeting included  the immediate HALT to any further APC/PDP dichotomy in the polity of Edo North PDP , whilst emphasis was also laid again on the leadership structure and constitutionality of the PDP and the need to always respect constituted authorities .

The forum  also  heartily congratulated both Dr TONY AIZEGBENI and Barr Anslem Ojezua for successful hosting a strategic landmark meeting of both leaderships that has now signalled in genuine integration and unification of hierarchical structures of both parties.

Auchi Microfinance Bank groans under high customers debt profiles

By DADA AYOKHAI  The management of Auchi Microfinance Bank (AMFB), yesterday, decried the high indebtedness of customers to the bank just as it urges customers to pay up in order to remain in business. Chairman of the financial institution, Hassan Momodu, expressed his resentment at its 22nd and 23rd joint annual general meetings of the bank in Auchi, Edo  According to him "We are using this medium to appeal passionately to our shareholders and the general public that are indebted to us to pay up to reduce our yearly provisioning and improve our profitability”,  Momodu also said that the increase in the fund in the period under review represented a 29 percent improvement on the fund. He maintained that the bank’s gross earnings within the period was N143.8million as against N131.1million in the 2018 financial year. By DADA AYOKHAI The Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic party, PDP, will soon engage in another political battle over the choice of candidate to fill the position of the National Deputy Youth Leader  microzone to the state by the party to be formalized at the National convention slated for October 30 and 31st. The Edo State PDP chairman, Dr Tony Aziegbemi according to source unanimously  conceded the choice of who occupied that position to the state governor in tune as the Leader of the party in the state.
