Oghiadomhe chairs PDP Edo North Elders council

What can be regarded as a think Tank made up of leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party in Edo North senatorial district of Edo state, whose functions will be mostly advisory has been inaugurated in Benin City the Edo State capital.
The leaders of leaders body interim chairmanship position was bestowed on Chief Mike Oghiadomhe, former Edo state deputy governor, and Chief of Staff to former president Good luck Johnathan,
While inaugurating the 30-man advisory Committee with Barrister Johnson Abolagba as secretary, Chief Oghiadomhe charged the members to serve selflessly in the interest of the party. He added that their duty was purely advisory and formulation of ideas that will not in any way be in conflict with any organs of the party.
According to Oghiadomhe, an elder’s council is not a novelty in the PDP. Rather, it has always been part of the party structure since its inception.
The inauguration attracted leaders of the ruling party from across the six local government areas of Edo North Senatorial District.
Other members of the council include former speaker of the state House of assembly, Hon Kabiru Adjoto, immediate past Deputy State chairman of the APC, Pastor Kenneth Asekomhe, Senator Yisa Braimah, a former APC chieftain, Hon Henry-Duke Tenebe and Hon Sunny Okomaye, (Vice Chair) .
Other members of the advisory council include Andrew Momodu (Assistant Secretary) Sunday Adoga, Hajia Jumai Muhammed and Chief Tom Uloko.
The council later set up a 7-man committee to work out modalities for the setting up of similar bodies at the local government and ward levels.
