Saliu Ahmed Revalidates APC Membership

In spite of the few hiccups that had characterised the nationwide APC registration and revalidation exercise, it continues to gather steam as more and more big wigs of the party are coming out to revalidate their membership of the party.

The latest APC big wig to revalidate his membership of the party is Engr Saliu Ahmed, a leading Edo North APC chieftain. 

The amiable and popular Edo North APC chieftain successfully revalidated his membership of the party on  at Unit 6, Ward 1, Auchi, Etsako west local government  in the full glare of his supporters and admirers. 

On his arrival at the venue of the exercise, he was swarmed by APC faithfuls who had also gathered for the membership revalidation and registration exercise. 

Not wanting to disrupt the orderly queue formed by the crowd of party enthusiasts at the venue, Engr Ahmed joined the queue and patiently waited for his turn, in strict adherence to COVID- 19 protocols. 

At his turn, he filled some forms issued by the officials supervising the exercise and, thereafter, his membership was revalidated. 

It will be recalled that President Buhari recently renewed the appointment of Engr Saliu Ahmed as the Managing Director of Benin - Owena River Basin Development Authority based on his excellent performance in office. 

 Similarly, he was one of the  favourites  for the slot of running mate to Pastor Osagie Ize - Iyamu in the September 19 Edo guber poll.

speaking after the excise, Engr Ahmed admonished APC faithfuls not to regard the ongoing exercise as punitive, stressing  it should serve the dual purpose of growing the party's membership base as well as creating a pool from which to select those fit for either elective or appointive positions in the party. 

The registration and revalidation exercise in Auchi has so far progressed well, with APC members trooping out enmasse at the various registration centres across the town.

Auchi Microfinance Bank groans under high customers debt profiles

By DADA AYOKHAI  The management of Auchi Microfinance Bank (AMFB), yesterday, decried the high indebtedness of customers to the bank just as it urges customers to pay up in order to remain in business. Chairman of the financial institution, Hassan Momodu, expressed his resentment at its 22nd and 23rd joint annual general meetings of the bank in Auchi, Edo  According to him "We are using this medium to appeal passionately to our shareholders and the general public that are indebted to us to pay up to reduce our yearly provisioning and improve our profitability”,  Momodu also said that the increase in the fund in the period under review represented a 29 percent improvement on the fund.
