Tony Momoh's burial slated for Grail land, Iju.

By DADA AYOKHAI

Kinsmen of the late Prince Tony Momoh would be denied the opportunity of  paying  him their last respect  because  his religion,  Grail moment, only permits  the  burying of their members at  a destignated  place especially at their temple in Lagos depending on the rank of members.

The corpse of the late Auchi prince is to be laid to eternal rest at the Grail land in Iju hills, Ogun State.

With this, Prince Momoh, a staunch Buhari loyalist, will not be buried among his kinsmen in Auchi, in line with the age long cultural practise of his people which requires corpses to be brought home for burial.

Instead, Prince Momoh's remains will be buried at the Grail temple in Iju hills, Ogun State, in the presence of his fellow cross bearers and Grail adherents.

Whatever speculations that may have swirled around the final resting place of the former minister was laid to rest by a press statement issued and signed on behalf of the Momoh family by  Abdulrasheed Momoh.

The statement said the former minister would be buried at the Grail temple in Iju hills, Ogun State, on February 11, 2021.

Abdulrasheed thanked  President Buhari, members of the Federal Executive Council, FEC, the media as well as other Nigerians who commiserated with the family over the death of their illustrious son.
Sympathisers who could not partake in the burial rites of the late politician, however, have the option of paying condolence visits to the Abuja, Lagos and Auchi residence of the Momoh's.
