No foul play in Auchi polytechnic lecturer's death _colleaugues, students

By DADA AYOKHAI

The last may not have been heard about the drama and intrigue surrounding the death of a Chief Lecturer of the Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State, Dr   Shola Eshiobo.
Before his death, Dr Ehieobo was a Chief Lecturer as well as the Dean of Student Affairs.

News of his death created panic and suspense within the institution's host community, Auchi, as well as in academic circles, leading to speculations as to what could have caused the death of   the late Dean.

Even more intriguing is the fact that his corpse was found in his office on Sunday morning, after a frantic search of his whereabout by family members and friends.

The drama heightened as people wondered what the late lecturer could be doing in his office on a weekend.

It was gathered  that  the late Dean whom many of his students including the former described as a displinarian  was in the school on the fateful Saturday along with other lecturers to supervise the ongoing examinations.

The report further noted, however, that the examinations did not end until late Saturday evening which consequently compelled him to retire to his office for some routine work, to relax a little bit before heading home.

Late Dr Eshiobo's failure to get in touch with his immediate family throughout the day, a most unusual attitude on his part, raised the red flag which led his family to embark on a frantic search for its breadwinner and his office became their first point of call, where his corpse was discovered

Incidentally, a cross section of his colleagues as well as students and others have ruled out any foul play in the death of the former Dean. Instead, they attributed his death to some kind of medical jargons such as fatigue, cardiac failure and others
