Oghiadomhe rates Edo Varsity, Uzairue as one of best in Nigeria

The former Chief of Staff to former president Goodluck Jonathan has adjudged Edo State owned university in Edo North, Edo University Uzairue as one of the best in the country.
According to chief Oghiadomhe who was also a two term Edo deputy governor, said “this is one of the best universities we have in the country as at today by standards and I will like it to be the best university in Nigeria”.
Chief Oghiadomhe made the statement at Iyamho as a guest during the university's matriculation ceremony.
Earlier, the Vice Chancellor of the university, Engr. Prof. Emmanuel Aluyor, while presiding over the matriculation, said the school management is committed in ensuring that all programmes offered by the institution are completed within the stipulated time frame.
The vice chancellor also listed some of the institution’s achievements to include its ranking as 3rd in Nigeria and best amongst the state owned universities in the 2018 Open Educational Resources Ranking of Nigerian universities by the National Universities Commission (NUC), first in Nigeria to own an Anatomage, which is the most advanced digital device for the training of medical students and first university in Nigeria and West Africa to acquire the CANVAS Learning Management System (LMS) for teaching.
Again, the Vice Chancellor, encouraged students to make the best use of the facilities provided in the university to become grounded and employable after graduation just as he warned against acts that are inimical to the university environment and the society at large.
“We as a university have made a commitment to run all our programmes within the stipulated time for the progammes. You can attest to the fact that we have kept faith with this commitment for our undergraduates; despite the COVID19 pandemic, we graduated our students in 2020 as planned”, he emphasized.
While congratulating the new students for their successful admission into the world class university, Prof. Aluyor called on the parents to make use of the Learning Management System (LMS) to monitor their wards academic performance at home.
A total of five Hundred and Ninety Three (593) Students which includes post graduate were Matriculated into the 2020/2021 academic session .
