PDP crisis : Party leaders set up committee to search for a new secretariat

The crisis rocking the Edo State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has taken a new dimension as the leaders of the party in ward 2, in Oredo local government area set up a committee to search for a new secretariat.

Recall that the state chapter of the party had been in crisis following the state governor, Godwin Obaseki proposal for the dissolution and harmonization of the executive of the party at all levels.


The decision of the party leaders to  relocate  its secretariat from along Oko/Ogba, Benin City was taken during an enlarged meeting
which was held at the former All Progressives Congress (APC) state secretariat on 59, Airport road in Benin City.


A 3-point communique issued at the end of its meeting and ready by 
Victor Enoghama in Benin City said the ward leaders have  approved the relocation of its  secretariat due to administrative convenience.

Enoghama said the committee responsibility was to look for a Ward secretariat within four weeks.

According to the communique,"we the Leaders and members of PDP Ward two in Oredo Local Government do hereby support the position of the Leader of the party, His Excellency Godwin Obaseki on the proper integration and harmonization of all party members at all levels of the party administration and structure. 


The two- time civil commissioner in the state opined that the integration and harmonization of all party members at all levels of the party administration and structure will promote peace and unity in the party.


The party leaders, however,  passed a vote of confidence on the state governor Godwin Obaseki as the leader of the party in the state as well as commended him for his good work, infrastructural and human capital development.

Auchi Microfinance Bank groans under high customers debt profiles

By DADA AYOKHAI  The management of Auchi Microfinance Bank (AMFB), yesterday, decried the high indebtedness of customers to the bank just as it urges customers to pay up in order to remain in business.
