Condemnation trails Obaseki's appointment of CoS

The recent appointment of Hon Osaigbovo Iyoha, an Edo South person, as the Chief of Staff by the state governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki has continued to receive condemnation across the state over what the people considered as insensitive of the governor to other districts in the state.
  
Governor Obaseki recently breached the unofficial arrangements in the appointment of key officers of his cabinet by appointing an Edo South as secretary to the State Government and the Chief of Staff.

The abnormality of having one Senatorial district holding the 3 key offices in the government's kitchen cabinet was started and ends with former governor Lucky Igbinedion.

During the short term of office by former Osubor Osarieme, who hails from Edo Central District, the SSG and Chief of Staff were from Edo Central and South respectively.

 During the 8years of comrade Adams Oshiomhole as governor, the existing protocol of accommodating two senatorial district started by Osunbor  was maintained .

At the inception of Obaseki's first term in office, an Edo North person was the SSG before he resigned . Although, an Edo South person was appointed for a short term in office.
 

The second coming of Obaseki's administration courtesy of a soft landing provided by PDP after the humiliation by his former party,All Progressives Congress (APC), It was expected that the Chief of Staff will come from any of the two senatorial districts in the state, Central or North.

Speaking on the issue, Mr Godwin momodu, a political analyst  from Edo central,an average Esan man is so much aggrieved and felt so bad.

 According to him,their grievances is obvious, two leading Esan politician  stepped down  their ambition for Obaseki to enabled him picked the PDP Governorship ticket. "Now the Esans are not good enough to be a Chief of Staff" 

On the side of the Edo North, it's is felt that the hatred for Oshiomhole by the governor is responsible for non consideration .
According to Mr ogbode Itsemah, the fear of comrade Adams Oshiomhole will not allowed Obaseki to consider the district for any vital positions in government House.

Auchi Microfinance Bank groans under high customers debt profiles

By DADA AYOKHAI  The management of Auchi Microfinance Bank (AMFB), yesterday, decried the high indebtedness of customers to the bank just as it urges customers to pay up in order to remain in business. Chairman of the financial institution, Hassan Momodu, expressed his resentment at its 22nd and 23rd joint annual general meetings of the bank in Auchi, Edo  According to him "We are using this medium to appeal passionately to our shareholders and the general public that are indebted to us to pay up to reduce our yearly provisioning and improve our profitability”,  Momodu also said that the increase in the fund in the period under review represented a 29 percent improvement on the fund.
