Democracy Day: Imhandegbelo Salutes Gov. Obaseki...Urges vigilance amongst Esan South-East people

A leading contestant in the forthcoming Local Government Council Election, Hon. Louis Imhandegbelo has felicitated with His, Excellency, Mr. Godwin Obaseki and his deputy, Comrade Philip Shaibu in commemoration of    Democracy Day which is observed on  June 12  of the calendar.

The aspirant also urged Edo people to work in harmony with the governor to enable him fulfill his promises to Edo people 
 Hon. Imhandegbelo, in a statement, urged Esan South-East local government people to rededicate themselves to salvaging the local government and positioning it for greatness.

“We are currently faced with numerous challenges, it takes commitment, dedication, sacrifice and noble intentions to get through the rough pitches that we are experiencing, but with God on our side, we will overcome.

“The people and the government hold the key to the solution of our problems and we must work together to make our local government and Edo State great again,” he added.

 Hon. Imhandegbelo further Appeals  to residence of Esan South-East  to work in harmony with His Excellency, Mr. Godwin Obaseki led administration to bring the dividends of democracy to the doorstep of its citizen.

"Governor Obaseki have a ready example in Edo State, which today is a beacon of hope for democracy. It is the doggedness to rescue the state from the doldrums exhibited by Edo people during the last election that we need so as to keep faith in the state alive. It takes eternal vigilance to keep our state one and prosperous.

“As we mark this year's Democracy Day on June 12, I urge all the citizens of Esan South-East local government to rededicate themselves to salvaging our local government and positioning it for greatness, with the same vigour and commitment displayed by Governor Godwin Obaseki and his Deputy, Comrade Philip Shaibu. It is only then that Edo State will be great again" he opined.

Auchi Microfinance Bank groans under high customers debt profiles

By DADA AYOKHAI  The management of Auchi Microfinance Bank (AMFB), yesterday, decried the high indebtedness of customers to the bank just as it urges customers to pay up in order to remain in business. Chairman of the financial institution, Hassan Momodu, expressed his resentment at its 22nd and 23rd joint annual general meetings of the bank in Auchi, Edo  According to him "We are using this medium to appeal passionately to our shareholders and the general public that are indebted to us to pay up to reduce our yearly provisioning and improve our profitability”,  Momodu also said that the increase in the fund in the period under review represented a 29 percent improvement on the fund.
