Edo govt hails Owan born, Liquorose performance at BBNaija

The Edo State Government has congratulated Roseline Afije, better known as Liquorose on her emergence as the first runner-up in the sixth season of the reality television show, Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija).

Afije is a native of otuo, Owan East local government of Edo State.


Roseline Afije was  in 1995, the young lady is a jack of many talents; she is a choreographer, entertainer, model, and video vixen.

In an interview, she claimed to have noted that she discovered her passion and talent in the entertainment industry quite early enough and she didn’t hold back in pursuing her career.

She was the first Housemate in the 2021 big brother Naija show to get N1 million followers on Instagram.

The state  government  in a statement by Chief of Staff to the Governor,Hon. Osaigbovo Iyoha, said Liquorose’s comportment and character, which endeared her to fans across the country, stood her out in the 10 weeks spent in the Big Brother House.

 The statement read thus:
 “On behalf of the Edo State Government, I congratulate Roseline Afije,  known as Liquorose, on her emergence as the first runner-up in the Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) reality show. She put up a good showing with a dignified poise and character that earned her fans across the country."

“During her time on the show, she was mature and good-natured. It was not surprising that she became a fan's favourite in a short while.

“As an indigene of our dear state, we are proud of her and her achievement and wish her success in future endeavors.”

BORBDA Establishes four integrated farm in Edo state

By DADA AYOKHAI The Management of Benin-Owena River Basin Development Authority (BORBDA), has in line with the federal government policy of shifting from oil to the non oil of the economy with emphasis on Agriculture has  established four integrated farms in Edo state. The farms located in Benin, Auchi, okpe and Uneme N'Ekhua were recently virtually commissioned by the minister of water resources, Engr Suileman Hussein Adamu from Benin, Edo state capital.
