NASS, Edo Govt, Party Stalwarts, absent at Alimikhena's Chieftancy Ceremony

The ceremony to confer a   chieftancy  title of
Iyase of Uwanno Kingdom,   Etsako East Local Government area of Edo State on
Senator representing Edo North  at the National Assembly, Senator Francis Alimikhena did not live up to its billing on the 23rd day of October, 2021.

The media aides  to the senator  had days to the ceremony did some media  hypes  with the names dropping  of who is who in the society will grace the occasion.

Among those expected according to them  were the leadership of the National Assembly led by the President of the Senate, Senator Ahmed Lawan, his deputy, Senator Omo Agege, Edo State governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki, his deputy, Philip Shaibu, All Progressive Congress (APC) Leaders across the state and that of the national level.

Unfortunately, the chairs meant for the dignitaries  were copiously  emptied and later occupied by coopted guests.

Although on the surface, it was meant to be a chieftaincy ceremony but shrouded in secrecy is the fact that the ceremony  is a series of programme lined up by the senator to test the water for a third term ticket to the Red Chamber.

Unluckily, , the political arrangements fell like a pack of cards.

The ceremony was however spiced up by the presence of some non serving members of Edo State House of Assembly, APC state deputy chairman, Emperor Jarrett Tenebe.
