UHUNMWODE PDP kicks against Obaseki's nominee, Timothy Osadolor, for PDP National Deputy Youth Leader's position

The Edo state governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki,has nominated one Timothy Osadolor from Uhunomwode local government for the position of National Deputy Youth Leader of the People's Democratic party, PDP,ahead of the national convention of the party slated for October 30 and 31.
The PDP governors in the South South zone had during a party's meeting microzone the National Deputy Youth Leader 's position of the party to Edo state.
The Edo state PDP chairman, Dr Tony Aziegbemi, was said to have conceded the slot to Governor Obaseki in his capacity as the Leader of the party to nominate a candidate for the available position.
The Governor for reasons best known to him was said to have unilaterally nominated and forward one Mr Timothy Osadolor name from Uhunomwode local government of the state to the National Screening committee of the party for clearance for available slot.
Timothy Osadolor name is presently occupying number 27 on the list of aspirants cleared by the party for the National convention.
The Osadolor's nomination is presently being challenged by the PDP members in his local government who claimed he is not a member of the party.
In a letter addressed to the National Chairman, screening committee of the party and signed by the ward chairman and secretary of PDP in Isi north, Sunday Eguabor and David Esenudo, where the nominee hails from, the party said no such name exist on the party register.
According to them, Osadolor Timothy name is not on the party's register which is the foremost criteria for holding a party position.
Some political leaders who spoke under anonymity said the governor nominee might be among those who defected with the governor from APC to PDP now refered to as New PDP.
