Ex Edo Speaker's thugs molest 80yr old, others for attending Dan Orbih's PDP factional meeting in Akoko Edo

By DADA AYOKHAI
The acrimony between the Edo PDP former chairman, Chief Dan Orbih and the Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki, is beginning not only to create factions  in the party but also breeding violence among party members.

In a viral video in circulation, an old man who is said to be in his 80s was beaten to stupor in Ikpeshi, in Akoko Edo Local Government Area of Edo State for attending a factional meeting said to be of those loyal to Chief Orbih.

In the video, it shows youths holding various shapes of wood, escort the old man and others  out of the meeting venue, slamming them with the woods and ordering them to sit on the floor.

A PDP leader in Akoko Edo confirmed the authencity of the video and also claimed the thugs were taking orders from the former Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon Kabiru Adjoto who also hails from Akoko Edo and a loyalist of the state governor.

It will be recalled that supporters of Obaseki and that of his predecessor, Comrade Adams Oshiomole engaged in a similar scenario during Obaseki's days in the All Progressives Congress(APC).
