Akpatason buys late former Edo APC's Deputy State Chairman's property at Auchi for N300m

The Hon member representing Akoko Edo federal constituency at the National Assembly, Hon Peter Akpatason has bought the late former Edo State All Progressives Congress (APC) deputy state's chairman, Chief, Alhaji, Usman Charlton Mogaji's property in Auchi at the sum of N300 million naira.

The property are the  deceased  former palatial residence and an uncompleted hotel complex both  located in GRA Auchi.

The Hotel which was proposed to be a-three-star, was at 85 percent completion.

It was gathered that the former  APC leader's children took the decision to sell the property after their father's demise to meet contingency purpose.

The late APC leader who was a political associate of Hon Akpatason, died in 2019 from kidney related diseases.

Chief Usman Charlton was the  Seriki  Samali of Auchi Kingdom, Chairman, National Eye Center, Kaduna, and a renowned philanthropist whose generosity spread across Auchi and beyond.

Some of those familiar with the value of the  two property situated in GRA axis of Auchi claimed that, Hon Akpatason  who is the Deputy Majority  Leader of the House, took advantage of the close  relationship with the deceased to acquire  the property at a give away price of N300 million.
