Barr Ibrahim Mohammed emerges as NBA Chairman, Auchi branch

Lawyers across Edo North district of Edo state under the aupieces of Nigeria Bar Association, NBA, Auchi branch recently converged at Auchi, the district headquarters  to elects officers who will managed her  affairs in the next two years.

The election which was conducted by a 5 man team delegates from the National body of the association saw the emergence of Barr Ibrahim Mohammed Esq as the Chairman of the branch.

The peaceful and adjudged credible election  by the participants took place at the premises of the High Court, Auchi.

Chief Debo, the National officer of the body who led the umpire team  said the election is a good omen for a united and Progressive body in the zone.

 He urged the new executives to seek the cooperation of stakeholders as a strengthen the Association in his mission to forged ahead.
 
Addressing the journalists  after the formal  inauguration, the newly elected Chairman, Mr Ibrahim Mohammed Esq expressed appreciation to the Chief Debo led committee for ensuring  transparency in the conduct of the election while promising to unite the Association to attain a greater height.

 The  Chairman  further appeals  for cooperation and also urged  the  aggrieved parties to sheath sword and join hands to make  the Association a better umbrella for all.

Recall, the NBA branch was involved in lingering crisis which led to the suspection of her  election  by the National body  since last year.

Auchi Microfinance Bank groans under high customers debt profiles

By DADA AYOKHAI  The management of Auchi Microfinance Bank (AMFB), yesterday, decried the high indebtedness of customers to the bank just as it urges customers to pay up in order to remain in business. Chairman of the financial institution, Hassan Momodu, expressed his resentment at its 22nd and 23rd joint annual general meetings of the bank in Auchi, Edo  According to him "We are using this medium to appeal passionately to our shareholders and the general public that are indebted to us to pay up to reduce our yearly provisioning and improve our profitability”,  Momodu also said that the increase in the fund in the period under review represented a 29 percent improvement on the fund.
